Even though there was already a Costco location just a couple of miles away in South Jordan, with all of the growth in Riverton, the suits up in Kirkland decided Riverton deserved their very own store. Riverton also has the distinction of having both a Home Depot and Lowe’s!

Aside from a new Costco, Riverton is home to Mountview Village which bills itself as the premier mixed-use lifestyle center in the Greater Salt Lake area. Mountview Village has more than 20 apparel stores and almost as many health, beauty and personal care businesses. The former brands include lululemon, Nike at Riverton, TJ Maxx, Ross and Old Navy. While later include Bath & Body Works, Euphora, Ulta and G.O.A.T Haircuts.

As for grocery stores, Riverton has a Harmon’s, Peterson Fresh Market, Walmart Superstore and a Smith’s. Since Riverton has its roots in agriculture and farming, it’s nice to see a handful of direct to consumer food options (like Kindred Farms) as well as an IFA Country Store to support residents raising their own food.
